This Chinese character is pronounced ‘lóng’ in
Pinyin or dragon in English, and one of 12 Chinese zodiac. It is pronounced
‘Loong’ in Cantonese. ‘Long’ is a magic animal that is easily changeable, and
is able to produce cloud and rain which are beneficial to university. It would
ascend to heaven in spring, and submerge into heaven in autumn. Its power makes
it be the leader of Lindworm, fourrine D (that is dragon, phoenix, kylin, and
tortoise). Later, it became the symbol of imperial power, and the emperors of
all feudal dynasties called themselves dragon, all utensils they used were decorated
with the pattern of dragon. Since thousands of years, the culture of dragon
has pervaded in ancient Chinese society and culture. Besides spread and inherited
in China, it was brought to every corner of the world inhabited by overseas
Chinese. In China Town or areas inhabited by Chinese, the most universal and
